Fort Hays State University - Two years of graduate study toward a master's degree in criminal justice. One course shy of degree (my son made an appearance about this time - which is way better than a degree).
~ Extensive independent advanced study in criminal justice as it relates to parenting, child development and the creation of criminals.
Fort Hays State University - Bachelor of general studies with a concentration in human services, May 2002.

I am a California native who misses the cool salty breeze off the ocean waves in Morro Bay. I grew up around the rural Central Coast area of Templeton, Atascadero and Paso Robles (which is not quite as rural as it used to be).
Today we live in Colorado Springs, Colo., and enjoy horses, dogs, cats and children on 35 acres. I love to write essays about children, cooking, gardening and our animals. Thank you for your visit.
